    SOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND:

Increase your model settings from Low-Medium to High. If this does not resolve the issue, use the console command r_lod -1.

Should note this happens even after verifying my install, and new install too. It's really annoying because the walls are still physically there, keep getting stuck or shooting at things I can't actually shoot at by accident.

I'm kinda surprised no one mentioned it before, it's kinda obvious.

It's caused me more problems then helped in any way.

Any case if it's not affecting a lot of people then what do I do to fix it? I can't just reinstall, like i said it doesn't fix it.

I just remembered I mentioned this a couple of months ago. Didn't get a response back then though.

i cant think of a single thing that will fix it without the help of the people who made the model in the first place

Me and Misfire! got the same problem.
Tried to fix it by installing the new NF barracks model textures using Empty's tarball but had no luck so far...

Checking the empires installation with steam doesn't help either.

I am not even sure how you could achieve this. I mean at first I thought it might have been the new textures I made, but those aren't even uploaded yet. And there are also some of the new ones visible and some would be invisible, so that can't be it.
My second guess would be that somehow the surface normals got flipped and the surfaces disappear because of backface culling. You could at least investigate that for me: Try to fly into the missing walls with noclip and tell us if you are seeing textures then.

Nope, there is nothing there. Also, there's missing textures on the outside stuff too. I can't see the antenna or a box right outside the door. I know they're there because I can collide with them, just can't see them. There might be some other stuff, but I can only compare to what's in the new nf rax thread.

Box on right side of door.

I am starting to wonder if this could be a weird LOD bug...

That would line up with when varbles made lods and added those details.

    Driverbugs come to mind.

Lazybum are you running on AMD graphics?

Yes? I'd be surprised though, this is the only thing with this problem.

I should update them, it's been like a year and a half or something.

There's no issue with the radar. After updating my drivers I still have the problem too. This is starting to sound like the lod issue. Maybe it's something related to graphic settings or resolution though?

I don't know why people say amd is bad drivers, I haven't had problems with any game except skyrim, but I had to turn off the aa anyway so it could run at a decent fps.

Thats pretty much a stereotype by this point, it comes from the early radeon times if memory serves well, and is usually used to signify that even after all those years, amd drivers tend to be of lesser quality compared to nvidia. How much so i cant tell, ive not had a amd card for like 9 years or so.
