Hey hey, you got a lot of prejudices against east european 2nd world countries especially considering you are polish. I cleaned up the thread a little, remember: NO FUN ALLOWED.
It is when dropbox takes like 5 minutes to load anything and then fucking freaks out when you try to navigate the folder while its uploading and almost crashes explorer every single time. Maxfile takes almost under a minute for when I upload any webm, where dropbox takes forever and then gives shitty redirects people to a db page or invalidates links and requires a new public link.
thats your very own experience. except for thats a us company spying on me and has condoleezza (dafuq name is that) rice in their management i have no issues with dropbox.
I don't understand what your saying. You say its my experience, when google tells me im not the only one. You say a US company is spying on you and has Rice in management but then say have no issues with it.
i have no technical, just moral issues with dropbox. and yet im using it, what hypocrit i am. and theres tons of people complaining about everything all day long - sometimes i come to believe thats what the internet was made for ... ... my personal favorites are those with wooden pcs complaining about how a game "lags" for them and that its bad developers to blame for not being able to run a modern game on 10 year old computers. (i dont mean you teef, you just brought me on it) but sometimes its really that the problem lies on your end not the softwares.
Okay, thank you. https://github.com/nokonoko/Pomf Heres a github if you want to open your own image hosting service. Its a clone of pomf, which recently shut down because of stress reasons. The Google search tells me it hates windows 8, I have 7 but had the same issues the win 8 users have. https://flagit.wordpress.com/2009/08/05/dropbox-freezes-out-explorer/ I had to do this to fix it. *for those who have my issue*
its sad when people learn that stuff costs money isnt it? the more use it the more it cost or performance degrades (to a point where its not working anymore even) i mean im the first whod be up for some other form of economy, but thats me. in the meanwhile people want capitalism but on the intertubes its gotta be free. <insert-cake-proverb>
In the age of microservices, anyone can make an app that can scale to a billion users. In fact Amazon does all the hard work for you and you only have to pay a bill. File hosting is a fun business because most users won't want to pay for the service, and the ones that do want to host illegal content. It's certainly a fool's game if you want to have a sustainable file hosting business.
