I change it to once in 6 hrs for a map to be played and will keep my eye on if the timer is broken or not. I removed money and kept money_cl since that seems to be the one preferred. I still prefer the mapvote before round starts I am not sure if the end round vote starts after CV is destroyed or before, if its before I don't think its a good idea to have a vote pop up in such a intense time on the map. If its after the cv is destroyed then I will consider it but this plugin to update to cyber killers version is very time consuming and tedious, umc plugin has so many files to be configured plus I would be basically bug testing it, not sure I am up for all of that right now.
Paradox I was asking you dude. Apparently VIPER doesn't have end of match mapvote. It's after the cv is destroyed so it has no impact on the game. EDIT: I strongly advocate end of match mapvote and would be very happy to have it implemented on VIPER. Please consider setting it up.
Well it happened again today. Escort killed the server. It went from 30+ player to about 15 in the course of one map. The common misconception about escort is that it attracts players. Whether that is true or not is irrelevant to what happens to the server AFTER the map is played. Many do not realize how most players are too burnt out to keep player the game after a long round of escort. It is non stop repetitive gameplay, with little to no variation unless you switch side half way through. There is constantly shit going on in tight spaces, and it is extremely draining to the psyche. I find that after 30+ minutes of escort, I am simply too worn out to play a normal round after. On commander maps, you can at least control the pace of the game. You can go build refs, base bitch, or whatever you want. It's not constant kill, die, spawn, etc. like escort is. Most people don't seem to understand how damaging escort can be to a large population. Something really needs to be done about this map.
Escort's good for pulling in players at around 7v7, money's good for as low as 3v3 to be honest. Literally the only single reason I tolerate Money's existence is because, despite everything, it's still a decent seeding map. 15v15 pushes what can be considered to be good gameplay on both of those maps; hell, 10v10 pushes that boundary oftentimes.
that was on epic not viper, but it could have just been dinner time in USA if many were from USA on epic. That time it usually loses a lot of people, on viper at least, regardless of the map being played
I don't play often, but when I do, it's usually escort or district. Why? because every other map is usually won in 20 minutes, tops. Vicki, do you have records for map duration as well? That would be interesting.

heres the longest maps from that list (obvious empty server ones removed) emp_district402 - 50 minutes emp_canyon - 35 minutes emp_money_cl - 1 HOUR AND 10 MINUTES (SERIOUSLY) emp_escort - 35 minutes emp_bush - 50 minutes emp_frost_rc3 - 30 minutes emp_urbanchaos - 25 mintes emp_streetsoffire - 30 minutes emp_district402 - 30 minutes emp_shadows_attacks - 30 minutes bush came right after escort. it was probably 50 minutes because the server was emptied by that horrible map with the tickets escort has, it can go on for 50 minutes. thats proof enough that it needs to be changed by a mapper (it should 30 minutes or less AT LEAST)
are these averages or just random samples? tickets are a bad measurement for max map length, they count null if people are reviving - in theory you could have just enough tickets to spawn everyone, +1 so you dont go sudden death, and still play for hours. its not even that far fetched, i already played games where ticket count didnt change for several minutes.
The only good thing about that map was 9mining onto the top. Everything else about it was fucking horrendous.
