Definitely looks NF-y. Actually, how hard would it be to make it look more modern? Nanites don't go well with cold war.
it would mean to make a new, modern one. thats why i asked you for a few pictures :D no problem, i did this just because i did it anyway. i can use it for the landingboat aswell - nothing is lost. the more details you give me the more you get what you need. a screeny from hammer or ingame where it will be might help aswell. if you have textures you want, give them to me.

I still don't have a precise idea, I'll have to spend some time browsing the internet for something I like. I'll upload a screenshot and the current version of the map tomorrow, when I get on the PC.
After today's test I have to reconsider a couple of things, definitely an eye-opening experience in some regards :p What I'd like right now is if somebody were kind enough to voiceact a few lines I've prepared that are supposed to be played as objectives are completed/failed. LordDz already said he'd try his voice out for them, but he can't be on both teams, so I need someone else on top of him. In the meantime, if you guys could tell me how you feel about adding 1 more res per second on the abandoned camp flag, I'd also be grateful. I got some complaints about there being not enough tanks, but I'm not so sure about this myself, and you have a different POV as you probably use vehicles more than I do. So, what do you think?
I didn't play in this game, but I will say that even if there was more tanks it might impact nf in the way that heavies tanks piling up in escort do. I don't think it will hurt, I mean it is only 1 more res, and BE can cap it back to help delay tank.
I can't help you since I didn't get to playtest, but I can cry and whine that I didn't get to playtest!
Going to suggest 2 alternatives to the lines: At the minute some (actually just seems like one) of the voiceovers have times in them: I would suggest either: A) Do this in 2 separate recordings. One with the main body of text and the second one just saying "eight minutes". Whilst you are at this get recordings for other times e.g. 1-10 minutes. B) Remove the specific time entirely Reason: If you want to change the balance at a later stage you wont be able to use the original recording if its all done in one. You then need to either cut the "eight minutes" off or get it rerecorded. If you get it rerecorded theres no guarantee that you could get the same person to do the voiceover
Good point Wealthy! I'll fix the .txt when I get on the PC tomorrow. @Spartacus: Nothing has changed gameplay-wise, your info is still up to date. _b8 was mainly textures inside the garage area and small brushes.
Have you compiled this with lighting yet? Silk had some darkness issues with the pines, and they are closer on this map. Also, the exit drops from garages took 50% health off me most times. And get Youzy to give you some feedback. Hes the best troll/exploiter around and I saw him try some interesting things. Other than that, I quite enjoyed the map.
I could swear the lighting was compiled, I'll have to ask Silk or Dz about it as there are some things that need to be fixed with regards to it. I myself, however, didn't have darkness issues, so it's good that you said it. The drops won't be a problem on the main servers, they either run parachutes ( VIPER) or mp_fallsamage 0 ( EPIC), it's just me with the realistic--er damage being a big ol' troll. And yeah I totally keep asking Youzy, he found some rather big issues already
