I suppose I was arguing that all entertainment is equally meaningless. That's a clever statement because entertainment is not meaningless. However, these sorts of arguments typically begin with someone proposing that one form of entertainment is pointless and a good counterargument is to demonstrate that all other forms of entertainment are just as pointless. I didn't mean to suggest that entertainment, itself, is without purpose, only that we must remember to respect all successful forms of entertainment because they are enjoyed by a significant portion of the population. ... Except that anime shit. That garbage needs to die in a fire with all of the fags that like it.
I liked it Except I could possibly argue that because certain things like watching tv are not very interactive, they are not equal to others that are moreso. Anime is just an animated show that typically comes from Japan. I don't see a big reason to hate it, tbh... though the people who seem to be overly fanatical about it are rather grating.
I was just being sarcastic to induce some irony and lighten the mood. Typically, if anyone ever says something should die in a fire, they are probably joking.
Meaningless achievement? He's playing the game like it's some kind of free market, that's fucking awesome. The achievement comes from starting with shit items and ending up with luxury items. In the end though, you should sell all of it on the steam market.
I've suggested this shit before. Hats are awesome. I've considered that. I have some duplicates if some very valuable hats, but it's not easy to find buyers for my most valuable stuff. I should probably start unloading my less valuable stuff soon. It's hard to part with it.
I think you miss the meaning behind my point. Anyone can make a hat in TF2 and with enough community support, it can get ingame. But that puts it up for purchase (and maybe drops). There's no linking of it to achievements. That has to happen at Valve's end, whereas the other part is as far as I know, independent of Valve. I could be wrong. That might not be how TF2 works at all, but I'm assuming that TF2 follows the Dota2 equipment model, or rather, Dota2 is following the TF2 one.
The only example of "play x to get a x hat for TF2" is Alien Swarm, where you needed to beat 2 missions online to get a hat. That game was developed by some Valve-associated guy though.
Somebody is trolling for compliments... No positive reinforcement until the entire gui is replaced and we run out of game server space!
