Hi I recently downloaded Empires,and after some confusion,I got it working. When I launched the tutorial,however,the game completely bugged out. I picked Engineer and created a squad,but then I couldn't move from the place I was in with the first speech bubble. I tried jumping around a bit to no avail. Eventually I found out how to use the spawn screen and spawned on the topmost location,but then my Computer instantly froze and I was forced to restart it. How to recreate (If possible): 1: Launch game 2: Run Tutorial 3: Can't move from spawn 4: Pick a spawning point with the map 5: Computer crashes
I think the tutorial hasn't worked for quite some time. But I've honestly never seen it, so I can't comment.
The tutorial does not work, due to an issue with (I believe?) the spawn autoselect or some such thing that was implemented in this version. Unfortunately, nobody has ever managed to get around to fixing it.
I used the tutorial succesfully but that was more than 18 months ago when I first found empires. (and it was glitchy then) There have been ALOT of Steam updates and issues since then. I'm surprised you got it working at all. With the 2013 port going on for the rest of the game, I bet this would need lots of work too.
In the current testing version, yes. Well, you could probably still load the map manually, but the game will probably just crash.
