Heeey it's two of us Grant! https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9641062/Screenshots/Osu!.png Not as big of a collection as Security's but I have some gems here.
I wasn't liking the music lol. If you are going to listen to Weeb music while you play empires, at-least listen to GOOD weeb music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zj-M9pvQSyo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duWTfl4MJ1c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPwF6YTLLuc http://youtu.be/J9Q8r95r2A8 http://youtu.be/MNMBJvRPzkg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdYms5pRwS4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySXsFk3v-_E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tdu4uKSZ3M
It's how that game works, if you click on a song from the selection menu, it'll loop forever. That's why I said I forgot to turn it off before recording. But I don't think it's that bad. There are a lot of songs improper for this(I have a total of 6GB music in store), if I were to make it pick randomly, it would have been a disaster. You don't want nyan cat for this, right? So I picked one and stickied to it. The song & gameplay are both tense so I think it's alright. annd, no, I am not going to listen to some musics with fatassly slow bpm for Empires gameplay in the morning.
Agreed - but Security surely has higher kill ratio than most guys who think they are doing this as well. I'm going to order a larger monitor - maybe that will help my kill ratio a bit. My 20" is tough to see at a distance. Maybe a 32". Or high quality 27" ? Any advice on a reasonably priced monitor ? This is 32" and CHEAP but only 720P - and may be enough ? Advice ? Maybe HannsG 27" ? ASUS 24" ? how fast is fast enough - 2ms, 5ms or Do I need 1ms speed ?
Umm, if you wanna do better at gaming because of monitor you should find some 120Hz which thanks to its frequency can show 120 FPS and that will help your aiming. (usual LCD monitors cant do over 60/75 FPS/Hz) Every gamer that tryed it says that it improves your aiming. Rather focus on that than size. My next goal is 120Hz monitor (actually 3 of them)
Neoony - I think 120 hz monitors may be more comfortable on the eye but they won't increase the frame rate unless the connection can support high framerates. So 60 FPS or less will look the same on a 60hz monitor as it does on a 120 hz monitor. Also might my video card need upgrading to support 120hz ? Since I'm using a laptop - that is not possible. Based on monitors lasting a fairly long time - it may be worthwhile going 120hz and this looks pretty good. I had a meeting with AMD yesterday - wow, what is coming is amazing. Vinnie
And how exactly is this 120 fps supposed to help at all, when most humans are capped at ~60 or something? And howexactly does it help aim anyway? Suddenly you can predict movement better? Magic helps you be more precise with the mouse? Sure, I didnt do research here at all, but I just sense marketing bullshit from a mile away.
More frames turns into movie quality smoothness. If you ever been to a huge store with tvs everywhere showing off the crisp quality and showing the new dvd releases. It sort of looks like that.
lol, your eye does not see in fps its supposed to be more fluent and responsive nobody is saying that you will suddently start owning 10 times better its pretty much just a little detail on being better at competitive games --- Didnt considered that you have a laptop Oh and actually also this would be completely worthless in empires
120hz screens are as already mentioned way more responsive. Try one yourself and feel the difference. Also, human eye "fps" =/= screen fps.
The hell do you both mean by that. It takes some time for the brain to collect and process all the data into what we see, so there should be a delay between images, which could be roughly equated to the fps.
Gents - movie quality FPS is 24 frames per second. But those are high quality full frames. Some monitors do interlaced at 120 hz which means the whole screen changes at a frequency of 60 fps, and that does not mean every pixel. With compression technology they change some of the pixels and the frame will change over time - but not the full frame. Granted 120 FPS is easier on the eye - smoother and faster merging of pixels in progressive scan than 30 or 60 fps. This is why it seems smoother. IMHO it's just a better 60 fps monitor and a lot more expensive. But don't think this is movie quality. Movies flash full frames in at lower FPS but at higher quality due to them being a complete refresh of the frame 24 times a second. If you counted pixel changes you might achieve 24 full frame changes in 120 hz (I doubt it), but it ain't done the same way. I'm sure movie cameras are improving and increasing the FPS - but this is what is explained around movie quality on the internets - and we know that can't be wrong - cause it's on the internets. At any rate I'm going with the cheaper 60 hz 32" monitor which is pretty cheap compared to a smaller 120 hz monitor.
maybe this might help http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/7199031187 only read a bit so I only hope its explaining it right JustGoFly - yep...after rethinking your case, yeah its better for you to go for better 60Hz
Remember kids, the human eye can only see 24 fps, if you expose it to higher fps, it explodes right in your head!
