Yeah so who uses flux now since the sleep problem thread. Lets discuss how awesome it is. http://stereopsis.com/flux/
That doesn't work for phones though, right? I used to use a custom brightness app to lower the brightness on my Droid X so I could use it at night. Now I leave autobrightness engaged on my SGS3. It's very aggressive and I like that. Combined with as much black as possible (to save AMOLED battery) and and it's acceptably dark when I need it to be. For my computer, I can just turn the brightness down. I typically have issues with the mediocre max brightness, not the min brightness.
I use and love F.lux now. It's a great piece of software, and I really have noticed the difference. It would be great if there were mobile versions, especially for that awesome phone operating system Windows Phone 8. Added a link to the software in the OP.
Oh wow this software is exactly what I need, I don't finish work until 9pm or 10pm and I am often on my computer at midnight and looking at the screen feels like I am staring into the sun especially on white background sites like youtube.
Well I can find these: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.cf3d.cflumen https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.absurdsoft.neyetlight https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vito.lux&feature=related_apps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.geekyouup.android.dimmer&feature=related_apps
My phone (Xperia Mini) has a light sensor that automatically changes the brightness to fit the surroundings.
I felt the difference when I installed it, it's great, if you turn it up at night just to see the effects, you can feel the strain. I was worried that the colours might be a bit... well weird, but the kind of orange glow (far left on chart) suits the lighting of the lamp above me on the wall where my desk is.
I have it for 2 month now and I always notice the orange. "disable for an hour" atleast once a day Still a nice program
ALL HAIL THE HYPNOFLUX Seeing as I was the person that linked it, it's only fair that I make my paypal available for generous donations: beerdude26@gmail.com
