    1. Get a BioML-equipped vehicle
    2. Slam into wall
    3. Fire at said wall -> you should now lose plates due to the bio effect
    4. Pull back a little
    5. Turn 180 degrees
    6. Now the bio eats away at your rear armor despite hitting the front.

What I mean by that is the bio effect is not attached to the target but to the hit position.

It is, allows to cycle through armour sides and lets you avoid getting hull damage. Makes it easier to stay alive.

Okay, Bio damage is majorly fucked up.

The damage is always relative to the absolute world coordinates where the bio missile hit.

It's really handy at times and amajor hindrance at times. Also, a direct bioml hit van almost eat six plates of compo, OP.

Add a distance cutoff and it would really be a area denial weapon and a cheap way to fix the bug without having to actually fix it...

We already have a new Area Denial system though, it just isn't used in a weapon yet.

This may have been introduced with the commit that fixed bio effect stopping working when exiting a vehicle. I can't think of any more commits that bio has been modified in. Either that or its been around for years and is only being noticed now

I think this bug was introduced in 2c941f6cc2dd421c8e42e6ddcbfd7c9d437c1465 (Mon Feb 22 14:27:35 2010). The commit is in the EmpiresOld repo. You might want to take a look at it Brutos. What was the bio MG bug?

    Good catch.

I have no idea what the bug was, it was documented in Mantis somewhere but that seems to be gone.

I think I know whats happening and I have a band aid for it. But we really need to refactor this bio code. This is such a horrible mess.

    Anyway fixed in 85f4ec71e8c6a9fa0e7e77b5645da1799b9c6083.
