It's broken at the moment. I actually totally forgot about that as well, it was meant to be one of the major bugs we were fixing. GCF is overriding everything, you can't use any custom shit properly.
wasnt there something like you have to unpack the gfc's into the mod directory and use empires as mod or something. there is some tutorial somewhere on the forums, i didnt use any using custom content since this discussion with trickster ...
Love it! Yea I just downloaded it and first impressions are that its great!! Its easy to download by the way just drag and drop the models, scripts, and sounds file into your empires folder in steamapps/sourcemods/empires, and overwrite or merge EVERYTHING The only problem i notice right away is the sounds seem to be a bit late for the gun, with about a quarter second lag between the shot and the sound, although i was laggin a little so this may be innacurate. Of course you can get custom content working. Just read the tutorial I posted in the Support section.

Actually the H&K MP5 is a sub machine gun and yes that is the butt. And I could add that you should have left the rear sights as they were, because they are supposed to align with the tip of the front sight, but meh... ;P
