That's what I've been saying for years about EPIC, but I had no idea that actually existed. In fact, I think I posted it on here somewhere. If we don't know what we're doing, the enemy certainly doesn't.

But seriously my mind is fucking blown, I can't actually believe that exists. That's pretty uncanny.

Maybe that was true of America once, I don't know, but what I know for sure now is that that that is the furthest from the truth now (at least in other branches, who cares wtf the army does anyways).

Although... we do practice for every form of chaos we can conceive of :P.

You may well practice it, but clearly your time has been wasted given how useless it was.

We have no problems, and I can't think of a single instance where you've helped us with one. The one time we asked for help (The Falklands), you guys just cried and said it couldn't be done. You guys on the other hand, insist on dragging us into your mess, making us waste time, money and men on stupid places that we couldn't give a shit about.

Beside the two World Wars, Iran in the 50s comes to my mind.

The US was actually asked by the Brits to halt the socialisation/nationalisation of the Anglo-Persian Oil Company [aka British Petrol after 1954] holdings, oilfields which where still left in British hands after the liberation of Persia, by stirring a little uprising. The local CIA Operation "Ajax", headed by Kermit "Kim" Roosevelt, funded the overthrowing of the left Premier Mossadegh in favour of the Shah in Shah. Churchill got half his Oil - Britain had the sole monopoly on Persian/Iranian oil before 1952 - back and the other half went to the US, to settle the deal.

From everything I've ever read about that, given that Iran was pretty much a democracy back then, it was more about holding the country back, and stopping Communism. That's why the Iranian Prime Minister or whatever he was called, got essentially kicked out. He wanted to nationalise their oil production, rather than let the UK and the US completely rob them for everything they extracted. The UK's motives were monetary, the US just wanted to stop the country developing too far. It's like that with most of the countries (including our good friend Mr Hussein before he snuffed it) that had dictators. They were essentially installed by the US to prevent Communism.

As for the World Wars, what the US and the UK did was minimal in comparison with Russia. Russia won both wars for the Allies, hands down. The US showed up late, and even then only did it because their shit came under threat.

But that's not my point anyway. The US has the best military, and the best overall training by miles, but they never properly commit to anything. Both Afghanistan and Iraq could have been over in a couple of years if they hadn't committed such a small percentage of their armed forces to the wars. If they insist on going into these countries, at least do it properly.

To some extent. I think we did a damn good job in Libya, and we really should have helped out in Syria if the situation wasn't so complicated. But yeah, without a doubt, we totally fucked Iran over, and then Mr Sean Connery lookalike got in charge. I mean you only have to start looking at these countries in the North of Africa at the moment. Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, they're all voting in Hardline Islamic parties. Before they all had their respective coups, which were basically caused by the UK, US and the USSR, they actually had progressive, moderate and democratically elected system.

In short, we done goofed. But most of it was done out of fear of Communism. Some of it was founded (as in, the threat of Communism taking hold) because of the USSR actually trying to get it out there, and obviously the USA didn't like that very much. I mean, to be honest, the UK was pretty much the USA's bitch, so we just did what they asked, and we still are for the most part.

    Hahaha...

How little you know trickster. If Britan is like the biological parent of America, you are like the old frail weak father we occasionally let do things (with lots and lots of supervising), and then we pat you on the back and tell you you did a good job after, then we sit you down to your tea and you stare out the window for like 6 months until you decide you want to feel important again. It's kinda sad, but it helps conceal just how good the US has it over everyone else.

We got some of the best schools in the world. But federal public education needs some reform.

Britfags and other Euros are just as fat (or accelerating on its fattiness).

    Corrupt Politicians? Who doesn't.

Well I just need to scroll up to see how stupid people are about their stereotypes about Americans.

Well, if you look at the highest rated colleges world-wide, universities here like Yale and MIT tend to consistently top the charts.

Federally funded public education does need some improvement, but really the problem with student performance is indicative of a larger social problem that goes far beyond the reaches of lawmaking and politicians. Anyone who actually and currently attends a public school here should understand that the problem lies just as much with the students as it does with the teachers or curriculum.

Except you're entirely wrong. Without a doubt, Britain is entirely unimportant in this world, unlike the USA. What you guys do matters, what we do, no-one gives a shit about. But therein lies our issue, because we're still dragged into Iraq and Afghanistan with you, for reasons I honestly can't work out. We have no need to go in there with you guys, you don't need us, we are of no help and the amount of troops we're able to commit, the US could match without so much as batting an eyelid. It seems to me like the only reason we're dragged into these wars, along with the rest of NATO that the US also forces to join in, is just to make it seem like what the US is doing is more of a cooperative effort between multiple countries, so it's a war where our side is most of the West, as opposed to the US by itself. Which by the way, is basically what it is. As far as I'm concerned, Britain, along with every other country besides the US, are only dragged into Iraq and Afghanistan to attach some sort of legitimacy, or at least some sort of acutal point, to those wars. They're of no purpose to us, no gain, no nothing. They only benefit you guys, and there's absolutely no reason for us to be involved.

And the vast majority of the population in our country, doesn't want to be involved. It's just the deluded politicians who think we actually get something positive out of our relationship with the US, whereas the truth is, we're pretty much being taken advantage of. We gain infinitely more from relationships and agreements with actual civilised countries, such as the other ones in Europe, or even the wealthy Arab states. The one single country that we're still important to is the US, and that lies purely in the fact that whatever they do, if they bring us along for the ride, we add legitimacy to whatever it is. We're included purely to make what they're doing seem ok, and it isn't.
