Okay now with the first steam release done, I'd like to add 5-20 achievements with the first patch. I have somewhat figured out how to do simple counter based achievements already and I think I have two guys who'd be willing to draw icons. What I'm missing is ideas, for that I'm asking you the community.

I wrote a simple vote script where you can add new achievements and vote if you like them or downvote if you don't. Here it is:

    Vote and add suggestions here!

I'll turn the top something in some days into real achievements. (If you are interested in how it's sorted, see here.

After seeing my achievement show up double, I'm guessing that refreshing the list after submitting an achievement is a bad idea.

I put in a few (read: a lot)

I'm drained of ideas now, if I have more later I'll add them.

I don't think it's proper to discuss this in General Discussion.
    1: It's better to keep achievements as a secret.(SURPRISE!)
2: Dumb achievements might make it because some people will try get votes for their achievements.
    ..etc
EMP still don't have great enough playerbase to allow some "inproper" achievements to "ruin" the gaming experience.

Well it's just my opinions. :D

By the way, I think it would be better to add comment system in that page.

Acheivements suck ass. Whichever ones you add I can bet you there will be a way to exploit it to obtain it easier or it will be counter-productive to regular gameplay.

Most of those suggests are retarded and/or impossible to keep track of (e.g. enemy vehicle on top of your jeep?). Btw, do we get funky hats after x # of achievements?

    Vote for "Team Rocket Rocking"!

well WMG, that's another reason why they shouldn't allow public to add achievements.

Team Rocket is Ready to Rock It!

...Is it bad if we outright plagiarize from Serious Sam?

Also, since it will probably announce who earned an achievement, some of those negative achievements will answer the occasional 'whodunnit' scenario.

Don't worry about tracking for now, also I will probably not add many (read: 1 or maybe none?) counter achievements (Do x y times.). The voting is to see what the community likes. I will use my own brain and throw out counter productive achievements (like encouraging people to play sniper scunt, what is wrong with you people??).

    What about my sharpshooter?
It should be 100 enemies rather than 1.

Too bad it's not 100 enemies, the description is awful, and it unnecessarily excludes the scout rifle.

there shouldnt be ANY commander archievements - at least none that require any form of grinding or doing absurd stuff (like the open all reasearch trees), it will only lead to comms that fuck you over because it unlocks an archievement for them ...
also an archievement like "run over x enemies with your command vehicle" should be avoided, since it will create the hobbes-effect ...
