Catchy title :D I've noticed with new players is that they try to use the vehicle factory to build a vehicle. However they usually tend to miss either the engine or the armor, and therefore can't build their vehicle. The problem though is that there is no notification from the VF telling the player why they cannot build a vehicle, besides something blocking the VF. Therefore new players make this mistake and don't understand the problem because all they see is a grayed out construct button. This isn't game breaking in anyway but it is becoming a large problem. Because of the way the empires community presents itself . Most new intelligent and possibly long term players don't want to ask or bother others with something so mundane. ------ Add a message in the VF menu that explains what parts are missing PICTURE BELOW. Pros-Infinite Cons-None More important than aircraft.
The problem is that we have generally wanted to avoid touching the GUI until we finally get around to remaking the entire thing. Having said that, this isn't a bad idea, and might be simple, but I don't know.
would be nice to put in the whole thing deadpool suggested to. So if the VF is blocked we can keep spamming build till the VF is clear.
Well not alot of things need to be changed. My suggestion is a real problem I see in game, which is why I believe its something that should be addressed before a full GUI change. Although I am no coder, but thats my opinion. Deadpools suggestion is more for the sake of logic I suppose. Also I have never seen anyone in-game complain about that. Also changes to the game only need to be implemented 1 small change at a time. :p
has been suggested a few times, already incoorporated in some HUD sketches, but yea, still a good point
