I think those spikey thingies on NF heavy tanks should do something.. like maybe clear landmines. the heavy will not take any damage, but the mines will still explode, damaging or killing other infantry or tanks.

lol i really like the music in these tank/military videos XD...

BE tanks can maybe have ability to change enemy land mines into friendly land mines so it can be used against the people that set them in first place... by running over the mines the skin of the mine will remain the same to trick the enemy.

can only obtain skill from research and using "special tanks" or heavies. i guess u can add the spikey things to BE tanks too lol.

Making mines even more useless against tanks in normal combat is not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I think of changes the mod needs.

if it has a good armor I'd say at least 8, being lucky of course , in most case must be more like 12-14

I really wish I could find a link but I was watching the Military Channel and they were demonstrating a Stryker driving down the road in the middle east very fast and mines flew up in the air and detonated and the vehicle was not damaged.

The mines which jump (they were on MW2) are so badass. What are they actually called? Can't be bothered googling "jumping mines".

no, that's true. Supposedly coined because they originally popped up to groin height and had a tendency of taking out a man's junk...:o

how do they work? i mean when u step on the mine, it activates the fuse and the first explosion (which propels into the air).. but when that happens.. wouldnt u like fall down? and since the second explosion sents sphranel at about groin/chest level.. the person that fell down has a good chance to not die.

lol sorry.. i was just up doing nothing productive and drinking when making suggestions XD...

the mine destroyer/changer offers no additional value to gameplay.

Ah, for some reason, I thought they were called Daisy Cutters.

From what I understand, they explode out radially, not downwards. Idk, I'll actually google them and look. That's a far nicer way for mines to work in a game, because it gives you about half a second to duck. As opposed to, I stepped on a mine in a shadow, now I die.

lol are we gonna make mines that have range/shrapnel damage? does no damage to tanks but has a bigger AoE area to kill infantry? BUT can avoid damage if duck/prone at the right time?

    BLU-82

That is the official name, daisy cutter was what the troops called it.

    There is also something called
    Daisy cutter (fuse)

    Aerial detonation fuse.

That's not a mine, that's one of the biggest conventional bombs available. It has 15,000 pound of explosives... If you think about it its like... 150.000 times more powerful than a HIT missile in Empires.

 nice little harvest equipment they have there. maybe have that for BE.

German "Keiler" Panzer for NF for the win.

Also this would give another nice opportunity to add particles.

Ah, thanks for the info. But yeah, I hate mines in empires, they're pretty boring. Bounding mines and anti-vehicle mines should be the 2 different systems (If we had the models), and it'd be quite a lot fairer. But then again, I suppose you've got the problem of where bounding mines can be dropped. It'd be a bit stupid to see them pushed into concrete.
