Scout rifle prevents people from being revived.

    Only reason I'm not entirely against this, is the idea that I could take a scout in my squad for attacking specific points. If there's an enemy squad with 2 engineers in it, I could have the scout take out one of the engineers, allowing us to attack the other without them just playing revive tennis.

    It's an issue with revive, that I believe this would fix. Sure, there are more intuitive ways to fix it, and better ways than adding a pointless feature than this. But this would still be a solution, in the current system. And a solution to revive tennis in ANY form would be appreciated.

    Can we get a bit more serious though? I don't see many negatives, if any (other than "oh nooo not revive!"), to this. I doubt that this will cause that many more people to go scouts.

    lol is that from combat arms? that is old =\. if yall want ships and aircraft in empires, go play another game instead. combat arms suck, but its fun once every blue moon to vehicle whore

    my idea makes the game more arcade-y and fun. yours makes a working mechanic frustrating to use.

    The idea is ok. I just like other scout or revive ideas better. Like changing this class to a saboteur class without a scoped rifle or have rivive start you out with 10 hp and regenerate the rest like when you surface from a long dive.
    It would be nice if there was a better way of discussing ideas that oppose each other and have the devs decide on the direction. The big picture thing is missing!

    The only thing wrong with the above cost is the idea of a Saboteur in the game. Can you say, "annoying-fucking-piece-of-shit-making-the-other-team-basebitch-as-scoutswithenhancedsenses-and-being-a-dick?"

    Also, this idea is to add a new role to the scout, change the way chokepoints are handled, and make the scout/engineer a little better/balanced.

    It makes perfect sense, obviously the scout rifle fires super high tech bullets that kill people much harder than regular bullets despite doing about as much damage as a stiff breeze.

    It actually does upwards of 80 damage on a headshot, 75 damage I think is minimum headshot damage. One HS + One bodyshit is an instakill.

    And almost any cannon shell will do far more damage than that but it doesn't have any special effects.

    I really don't think encouraging sniping is a good idea, it's a stupid mechanic in every multiplayer game.

    This would just make the game that much harder to learn. We need to lean towards simplifying it instead of adding features that you have to read a manual for 30 mins to play.
