The game is up at http://raeg.jekotia.net/, however, combat is broken. The thing is, we have no idea what aspect of it is broken. In order for it to have any chance of being fixed, we're going to need people to play the game in an organized fashion trying specific things in combat instead of throwing anything you have at another player. Until further notice, NO DEFENCES. I'd like to isolate all potential issues to the ships in combat. If ship-only combat seems normal, then we know that defences are what's breaking combat.
how can we try out different combinations of ship types and defences if we are not allowed defences? edit; also "there goes my real life"
That's just it, we don't know. Combat results are illogical but neither me nor beerdude could ever find any pattern or logic to indicate what is making the results so fucked up.
Please do NOT research armour, weapons, or shield technology above level 10. If we keep everyone on an even playing field in terms of the combat techs, it will be a lot easier to see where the game fucks up.
why not just write your own battle code for all i care you can basically just simplify things of you want
one could make a homeworld 2 mod by changing planets into carrier ships/shipyards/capitals and remake the research tree and stuff like its in homeworld

every time i try to attack someone, i end up having this bs message "ACS" blabla wtf is this shit ?! edit: also buff the damn cargo space i have a lvl20 deu cargo and im nowhere near the req for half of my junk to move D: what the... i suddenly need 40 million of cargo space to move a colonizer one planet away? edit 2: o right tech cap of 10, i kinda went overboard with CTR+mouse1 change the values back to 10 if you can
ok this is weird is there a chance for probes to fail or something? i scanned pete's planet twice, 100 small c's 200 sf's "lets see what a DS can do" (afaiknew, sf lacked the firepower to even dmg the DS's shields) fleet got banged in first round ohhh key.. small amouth of plasmas? whatever, lets send 5000 of them bang, fleet lost in first round ...lol
