Portal used to cost money. Until May 24th, it's free. End of story. Well, technically speaking, there are some strings attached. Fortunately, they're entirely decorative. We just like the way they look, swaying in the gentle breeze created by a million people simultanously fainting from shock at the news that Portal is free. Now you have no reason not to try Portal.
OMGLOLOLOL OLD NEWS. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/portal-steam-mac-free-game-portal-2,10413.html If it does include the SDK, does that mean anyone can DL Empires without purchasing anything?
No because portal is on source engine 2009 and Empires is on 2007. Nice try though. LOL at comments the guy who said he got steam for modern warfare 2 got 9 thumbs down.
It doesn't, already had this come up in IRC. If you get free portal, you do not get source SDK in any form. Also, empires comes up in the source sdk 2009 options in hammer automatically, do we still use 2007?
Portal is overrated. It's not as "amazing" as everyone says. It's just flying, jumping, some jokes, dying, constant saving/loading.
I got it 2 days ago, from this offer :p So basically, the skint and lazy. I could have got it for £3 in the sale, but I was just too lazy to. Thanks for posting Jek, now I don't feel guilty about not doing it :p
Maybe 3-4 on the last, two courses with the slim, and once when you are the "end of the training course". But yeah, you are a noob if you died a lot and a troll if you think it's overrated. You know a game must be amazing when a zero punctuation review finds no criticism for it. To use Ben's last words: "Fuck you. Portal is great, and if you don't think so, you must be stupid!" Anyway, if you guys have (re-)played Portal recently, there has been small changes to the game hinting on Portal 2. Also, since Portal has been free, there is a slightly new ending.
