Empires Is Under Attack?!?!?

Servers are lagging and then crashing out one by one repeatedly.
Unless this is the weirdest bug ever, Empires is being 'hacked' so to speak, feels like a webserver DdoS attack.

Multiple servers are crashing repeatedly and BSID's is the only one still coming back, for now. This is confirmed by myriad users and my connection to say, this site, is fine.

 

From what i heard ingame yesterday, someone was Ddosing vipers and main server whenever they got full. I wonder what was done to make someone rage enough to start ddosing game servers?

 

Unsure what Empires Community did to piss this guy off but he is good over 100 different IPS 2.5 million packets in 5 mins. I decided to remove my server from this game. Don't need this kinda crap.

As a friend of mine said when GMOD had it's rcon password vulnerability and it was being exploited by NoX's creator: The only way to get exploits fixed is to exploit them like theres no tommorrow

This kind of attack you can try to null route it besides that there isn't much you can do but wait for them to get bored and move on.

 

for anyone who wasn't around or doesn't remember the chopper people, they did this video and were hardcoded banned from empires because of it.

 

Collect all ddos data and forward to your host. They should take care of it.

In the mean time have them IP's null routed and you will be moderately safe till they start getting new IP's.
