Since it doesn't seem I'll be getting alot of time available for this map I am just releasing as is, its by no means complete but theres not point in me just letting it sit there. Yes I know ruins looks fucking awful, took me like 5 min to make tops. The map needs alot of overhaul in general, normally I wouldnt even release but its just sitting around so I ship it out anyway, gameplay will succeed or not. Ruins. I thought I'd seen the last of those in duststorm225. Be quiet, this is ruins base of operations!
My only problem with it is that it's so flat. Apart from that it's the first new map in a very long time i think might be worth playing. I love the layout. I like the textures and general atmosphere as well, but a lot of the awesomeness is lost because the 2 height levels are completely flat. If that's planned to change, both for graphical reasons and the addition of infantry cover, it could become my next popular map.
probably not, the minimap shows shallow and deep parts of the water distinctly. if you think you can fit it there anywhere your welcome to try.
Depends on the complexity of the maP, I allready have several concepts and maps lined up. I could take a look but it wouldn't be done any time soon
as for the question about height variations, i think i can speak for keef and myself when i say probably not. unless some kind of wicked idea hit someone about how to make the heights more interesting, its not really possible with the current layout im glad you guys like it so far, anyone actually played it yet?
