I hope this is already on the fix list somewhere, but just in case it's not... It is a well known fact that mini walls don't affect an engineers wall limit, and so one engineer can waste lots of time and make lots of walls. I suggest a system that incorporates the mini walls into the limit. Small walls cost 1 wall point, full walls cost 3 wall points, and instead of starting with 10 wall points engies would start with 30, and all current increments would be like-wise tripled. Pros: Fewer Exploits. Cons: Fewer Exploits.
They are exactly 1/3 the length, so they should have 1/3 the cost. This preserves the wall limit number as a constant limit on length.
what? no way, that would be so anoying. The whole point is to make a standard length, that would just make them shorter because of a mistake. or just not knowing that it existed or worked like that.
server variable emp_sv_count_miniwall default to 0, but mean server admins can change it to 1. Your problem, it is fix't!
It will help to FIX the CTF mod, reducing the amount of dicking around and also reducing the amount of stalemates.
Then all the games will just be teams rushing to get jeeps out and caping the flag because now you can't block. Stalemates are fun and will be broken eventually. I like the idea of miniwall counting for 1 while the full wall counts as 3. The CTF mode can be modified to allow more wall spamming by a simple server cvar change.
