Guys, I need help. I've pretty much finished the first version of the map, but I'm having problems setting up random thunder sounds. I've tried messing with a logic_auto and a logic_case, but quite honestly, I don't have much of an idea what I'm doing, and I seem to be getting constant thunder at the moment. If anyone could give me an idea of how to do this, I would be very much appreciative. I've changed the lighting and stuff slightly, and added detail props (the same as the ones on insurrection and tropicvendetta) on the dirt areas, so the screenies are a little outdated. THE NUKE WILL NOT BE IN THE PRELIMINARY RELEASE, DUE TO IT HOGGING 40% OF MY ENTDATA. Done. Thanks for the suggestion mayama.
I love the way the colours are going. It is looking much more grim and real like a real war zone. That + Inf Camo + Tank Camo (eventuly) Will rock on this map. BTW have u sorted out the FPS this time ulike on Slaughterd 2.0 :p lol
Instead of learning new things, I made a shitty workaround involving a hacked together sound file, and a logic_timer since audacity can't set loop points as far as I know. Anyway, the map is ready for its first release as of right now, I just need it compiling.
If it makes you feet better OMNI, I liked your version slaughtered,Although I'm rather heartbroken that the nuke will not be featured in the final release.
I come with gifts, specifically an update: Thanks to the invaluable aid of Chris0132, Silo may well become the first map I have released where you get more than 20 fps! As well as this, you won't have to put up with my ugly brushwork, since the majority of it has been remade by Chris, for the dual reasons of it being shitty for optimisation and just simply looking shitty. Anyway, enough of the preamble, onto screenshots. (apologies to those whores who demand full graphics settings, they were turned off for some reason when I took the screenies.) :D
Omni by the way I got that CC file working, apparently the UI does work in episode 2 if you put an entity in the map first, it doesn't look quite like the picture I showed you because CC doesn't have a contrast slider, but it does make it look better. Message me tomorrow because I might forget.
