    A new world has opened.

It's a whole new world we live in,

    Do-Do-Do, Do, Do-Do

It's a whole new way to see,

    Do-Do-Do, Do, Do-Do

It's a whole new place, with a brand new attitude,

But you still 'Gotta catch 'em all!'

And be the best that you can be!

I believe it is because the trees are in reality, flat. Client side, they rotate to face you, so you never see that their flat ingame.

what i was talking about is essentially make the models with EACH environment in mind. If we only make rocks for duststorm and canyon then we'll need some for snow maps and mvalley type maps.

So the best rock model would have about 8-9 skins for the different climates.

    http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/$nocull

$nocull renders the texture on both sides of a polygon.

That used to be on all the building models. It was fun having half the fps inside buildings. :>

Well, now that we can do this that means we can make a parachute model with half the polygons. Lol.

    nothing to specific and recognizable

i don't want to see 20 stealth bombers in every new map, especially when i just read that the cost to build only 1 of those is enough to solve the hunger problem in Africa in 10 years according to TIME

He didn't say make stealth bombers, he said make general props in a BE theme.

Think about that for a bit and see if it still makes sense to you. I guarantee that was never in time, they might not be the best news source by they aren't run into the wall retarded.

I doubt that. The best source I could find estimates basic health care at $13 bil per year. That's more like 65 B-2 stealth bombers (the US only has 19) or 1000 F-117 (the USAF has a little over 1000 fighters total) for ten years.

    17 B-2 Spirits (unit cost US$737 Million)
    OR
    305 F-117 Nighthawks (unit cost $US42.6 Million)

There are, however, more expensive planes they could buy.

Stop derailing my thread! But still, I find military equipment is way to expensive. If I had to be honest if you could build a stealth aircraft that could dodge all current and possible future detection devices, you could pretty much get rid of all infantry, but that would leave you with only carpet bombs and precision munitions.

Looks like I included development cost, I only calculated those numbers from memory. Also, blizzerd was speaking of a ten-year period.
