Okay, so no one posted after the playtest. That makes me very sad. Anyways, I will have R9 this weekend. Is there any issues that someone wants to tell me before I release it? RC10 may take a while, therefor I don't want to miss anything in RC9.
It's a great map! It seems like it would be very choke pointy and linear but its really not.. The only people who didn't like it were the people on the losing team which was proven when you asked the winning team if they liked it and they all did.. And then when we turned it around and won all the people complaining were saying GG.. But the lag definitely sucked. Get rid of that and you have a great map. I love the APC battles. Good epic fun.
I really like how it's been morphed into a less-frustrating "headbutt" direct confrontation kind of map. The previous versions of shadows made my insanely paranoid as to whether there were enemies behind me and such. I know I may have been on the winning side, but I do like what you've done with the map.
Great news everyone! I increased performance by 20 FPS in the lag heavy areas everyone was lagging to death in. My original performance in the west area was 25 FPS...
This map is fucking awesome. Today, as NF, we got a full convoy just working beautifully, 1 med, 1 LT and an APC, along with the entire team, we just went from flag to flag chewing up BE and it was awesome.
Wow, I really like how it is linear now and you cap flags in order type of an idea. Whoever though that up must have been brilliant. I move my rating of f-- to D- so far the best rating I've given! A few more decades and you might be able to produce a masterpiece like emp_nomis
I am working on emp_shadows_rc10. This work will not take nearly as long as RC9 did, so feedback... feedback is needed! Things I am doing. Making north less chokepoint hell. Cleaning up/remaking southeast area. More optimization work. Fix stupid crashing due to missed optimization zone.
