Hhahahaahaha, this map is horribly optimized. The most optimization work I have done is func_detail or whatever the hell it is called. The lag could of been the bad parts of the map optimization wise.
I get that kindof lag on streetsoffire, that's why i don't like it, i lag alot on it. Keep up the good work on this map though. The church or whatever it is, looks kindof out of place though.
Simon made a suggestion, so I will ask here. What would you guys think if I made it like GlycenCity, with both sides attacking. I could keep NF base, move BE base to SouthWest then remove the tunnels. How do you all think the gameplay would work if this happened?
I think you've got the right idea. having two "frontlines" just means there's no front line at all, and it just ends up with people getting lost in the map and capping several flags at a time behind enemy lines, which is annoying. conquest that shiiiit
im sorta busy this weekend, i can be on during certain hours, if you need another person, fyi, has anyone talked about the recent thing with shadows where people get HF2 crash errors randomly while playing? ive noticed that people have taken the map off their rotation because 50% of people cant join the map and the other 50% get these random kicks cause of HF2 errors or some byte B.S. during the game, multiple times sometimes. Just FYI, I love this map, if it werent for the random kicking
The reason I want to test the map itself and not release it is due to vis. Basically the map itself is done, however it will lag to hell. I need to see how much everyone lags to hell as I fix it over this weekend.
i could do that i could probably log on all saturday night from 30pm+....west coast time and sunday all day from 1:00pm+, give or take a bit, i do have a social life, technically
I think he is under the impression that respawn-points mean tickets, unfortunately giving a team more tickets for capping flags is impossible AFAIK, only bleeding tickets. When he says respawn points he means places you can respawn in, this is easily done by enabling spawn point entities.
oh, bummer... thanks for the help though... i tried to make people gain tickets according to how much they dominate on a certain map with flag capturing but gave up on that idea as soon as i leaned that tickets can only be drained :'(
