pls fix this in the next version. most of the time i have to turn off voice communication completly because of one spammer, but this can ruin teamplay.
1. I don't care about anyone who noticed it on KM. (3rd party software that messes with voice) 2. If you report bugs then test them first on a clean server without any mods.
i have this problem on all servers, but it happens randomly. sometimes mute works, sometimes not. no idea whats causing this. and by reading through this thread, you can see that im not the only one who has this problem.
From what I understand, Mute will only start working for the target's new transmissions going forward. It doesn't cut them off in the middle of their current transmission. Also, does OB give any more freebies like the profile icons in the scoreboard when it comes to muting? Or does that new "Mute Players" menu found in TF2 and DDOS needs to be coded in?
I didn't notice any changes with respect to voice muting in OB. Steam avatar is showing near the player name in Empires 2.2. (which is quite far from release)
Maybe I was just seeing things, but I think that when mute was working, hovering my mouse over a player name would highlight that player. When mute refuses to work, they highlight only when you click on them, and un-highlights as soon as the ping updates. Maybe it's a GUI panel focus issue, like so many related bugs in previous versions.
any progress in fixing the bug? yes, this might be the cause. sometimes u cant select a player properly. maybe the new gui will fix the bug.
It has to do with alltalk getting toggled. Also plugins that modify talk / listen flags (I think KM had a spec can hear everyone plugin).
I seem to have noticed that sometimes (if not always) I cannot mute people when they're dead. Aside from that, I don't really ever have an issue.
I don't often venture into this forum but since there are quite a few posts on this one: A crafty coder told me the mute thing didn't work if there are too many players. I guess the limit was 32. All additional players have mute immunity. There is a very good chance the bug is fixed in next version.
